Catch Up...

So I know I am terrible about blogging right now. Things have been super busy at work and home. I am 34 weeks now. Reid is growing and will be here before we know it. We are working on getting his room together. Harper is doing great in her "big girl" room. She loves her bed.

We are still working with Harper on potty training. She is doing okay. She has her real good days and then she has not so good days. This day was the best. I was sitting in the bathroom with her waiting for her potty. She got her step and then this. No words needed... I guess going potty is hard work!

Not a whole lot more to post. I will try to post more often. My family is working on organizing a Mother's Day 5K Run in Moberly MO (about 30-45 minutes north of Columbia). We are working with a local radiology clinic to host it. It is a breast cancer prevention run. The proceeds will go to pay for mammograms for men and women who cannot afford them otherwise. Shan, my bro, did a Mother's Day Run in Australia for breast cancer, that is where we got the idea. We have had several friends and family with breast cancer so it is close to our heart. We are excited to organize/host this run. So that is keeping my family busy at the moment. So if you know anyone who wants to run or donate please let me know. We will have registration up soon.

So far behind...

So I know I have not blogged forever. Alot has gone on since the last time and I need to put up pictures and everything. Christmas was great. We did Christmas before we left for the bowl game with both sides of the family. Harper had a blast. We left for the bowl game and had a great time there and came home with a win!!! Santa came to the hotel and also to the house. He told Harper he couldn't leave it all at the hotel so he would leave some at home too. So she was very excited to get home and see what he left there. She got a kitchen set. She loves to fix us dinner.
I had my doctors appointment today. Everything looks good and right on track. I am 28 weeks. I start going every 2 weeks and have to have my diabetes/glucose test this week sometime. Not something I am looking forward to. :) So I have about 10 weeks left and we will have another little one!! :)
Harper has moved into her big girl bed and loves it. She has been in it for about 1 week now. So now we have to get the other room started. We have to paint, put everything together, clothes ready, etc. All the final things really.
I think that pretty much covers things quickly. I will try to post pictures from Christmas and the bowl game soon. We will see. Things are getting busy at work plus trying to get things done and set up to be gone for a few weeks with the baby.
Until next time, hopefully sooner than later!!

Big Steps...

Harper has been showing interest in going potty in the big potty lately. To the point she will take her pants and diaper off and try to get on the potty. She will tell us she has to go, she may have just gone in her diaper but she is being good about telling us, most of the time. So the other day Casey and I got her a potty chair at Wal Mart. Thinking why not, we will have to at some point neways. So she will sit on it before she takes a bath. But nothing happens. I am at work yesterday, Friday, and get a text from Carolyn "Harper just pooped in the potty!!!!" We were so excited. She was eating breakfast, told Carolyn she had to poop, sat on the potty, and there it was. It scared her but she did it. Then this morning, she woke me up, "Momma popo in potty", so I got up took her to her little potty. We sat in there for about 15 minutes but she did it. Yes it scared her again. She got up, I put her back on there and she went again. That really scared her, she stood up looked in her potty and more came out. But I was okay with cleaning that up since she went in the potty. So I put her on the big potty to finish and she went some more. I told her big of girl she was and she was so happy. I had to call my mom about pictures today so Harper told her Poo poo in potty. Who knows if this is really going to lead into full potty training but I think it is a good start!

Preparing...

for thanksgiving at our house. We have been so busy lately. I have several pics to post and will do so at a later time. But I thought I would post tonight. Since we moved back to Columbia we have had both sides of the family over along with GA's for Thanksgiving dinner. Casey has practice in the morning so it is easiest to have it at our house in the early evening. Everyone brings something so no one has to do everything. This past summer we picked tons of cherries off the cherry tree right outside our front door. I have never made a homemade pie or cobbler in my life but Casey and I decided at some point we would since we have all these great cherries. So the time has come. Casey decided that we should make cobbler or pie for Thanksgiving dinner. So last night (Monday) we made a cherry cobbler from a recipe he found online. It was pretty good. Then tonight (Tuesday) we made a cherry pie. I got the crust recipe from a friend in Manhattan and the filling recipe from Casey's mom. We did the latis (sp?) top and everything. It smells so good. But we decided we would wait until Thanksgiving dinner to cut it and see how it tastes. I can't wait to see how it turned out. It looks good, the true test will be the taste!! :) I will have to post pictures later. It was alot of fun the last 2 nights. All three of us, Casey, Harper, and I, in the kitchen making this together. Harper was a great help. She poured, she stirred, and tonight helped cut the pie crust for the latis (sp?).

I was supposed to have my big ultrasound on Nov 24 and find out what we are having but I asked Dr Wilson if we could move it up. So she called Dr Grants office and I go MONDAY!!! I am so excited. Yes I know I am the baby here. I just want to know! :) So after 8:30am Monday morning we should know what the baby is. SO EXCITED!

Tigers, Pumpkins, and More

Lots of fun pictures to share!

Uncle Tom carved Harper's face in a pumpkin. It is pretty cool!!! He did it off a picture we took of her.

Carving pumpkins on Sunday night. Harper put golf tees in the pumpkin then hammered them in. She had lots of fun!

Harper gets to excited at football games. She loves it when J Mac scores touchdowns.

MIZZOU skirt Grandma Carolyn made for all the MIZZOU games we go to.

T-shirt blanket Carolyn made me. It has MIZZOU shirts from when I was a student athletic trainer, UNCC shirts, and KSU shirts. The back is a cool gold MIZZOU material. She also made a cool Big 12 t-shirt pillow you can kinda see.

I'm Back!

So I have been slacking on blogging for awhile now. I had a conference in Indianapolis, IN to go to for 6 days last week. I did not have internet unless I went down to the business office. I was way to tired when we got back to the hotel to think about that. So I am finally back and have tried catching up on laundry, the house, and everything else. We are getting ready to go to the MIZZOU homecoming game. Hopefully we bring home a victory! GO TIGERS!!!

Harper 18 months

Harper had her 18 month appt with Dr K this morning. 18 months! I can't believe it! Time flies. She was so good. She weighs 24 pounds, and 32.5" tall. She was so funny. It was the first time she got to stand on the scale for weight and next to the wall to get measured. She stood so tall and happy. Then she was so good in the room. She play and talked and did just about everything. Casey and I got flu shots so she watched that. Then at the end she got her flu shot, she did really well, let out a cry when they stuck her then she was fine. She is just getting so big. So if the winter goes well she does not go back until she is 2 years old and her brother or sister is here!! Wow that is weird to say, but is very exciting!!
